At Advanced Innovation Center (AIC), Alfredo and his team have been able to develop high impact technologies. A principal attribute has been the creation of a new Innovation model, the Integrated Objectives Model (IOM), that has generated important breakthroughs among which we have: performance optimization of pyro metallurgical smelters using high power ultrasound; acoustic stimulation of oil wells (RMS) and the Plasma Water Sanitation System (PWSS), a continuous flow water sanitation technology.
Alfredo states that incremental Innovation is not sufficient anymore to face current challenges. Disruptive innovation is required to generate economic, social and environmental impact; Zolezzi and his team have proven that this can be achieved using the Integrated Objectives Model, that proposes that through integration and collaboration we can trigger real impact to face the great challenges we face today as a society.
The Innovation model has propelled Alfredo to recognition by important media in Chile and internationally such as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, Forbes Magazine, Reuters, Singularity University, The Times of India, CNBC, Wired UK Magazine, France Press and World Finance, who recognized AIC in 2015 as one of the world top 100 most influential companies.
Zolezzi’s vision and his inspiring track record have generated numerous invitations to conferences and seminars around the world. While not his objective, he has accepted some of these invitations as they present opportunities to promote the power of his ideas and of innovation.
His collaboration has been requested to generate the Pacific Alliance (México, Colombia, Perú y Chile) innovation agenda. Alfredo states that today knowledge is a commodity. While research transforms money into knowledge, Zolezzi Works to transform knowledge into value. Along several years he has demonstrated that Advanced technology and poverty can and should communicate to accelerate the rate with which poverty is battled globally.
